Visit to the Eintracht Museum and stadium on February 26: The group’s excursion began with an exciting tour of the Eintracht Museum, where the children were able to immerse themselves in the fascinating history of Eintracht Frankfurt. This was followed by a detailed tour of the stadium, which gave the children exclusive insights. They were allowed to enter the players’ changing rooms and even sit in the original seats of the professional footballers in the stadium. The children even briefly spotted Mario Götze – an absolute highlight! The excursion was an unforgettable experience and a complete success!

On December 12, it was time for the Essen group to get out of the classroom and onto the ice! Together with 17 pupils, three teachers and the FTK team from Essen, they went ice skating and were able to dedicate the whole day to the experience! The anticipation was huge. After two intensive hours on the ice, the enthusiasm was great! For the teachers, it was particularly nice to see how the pupils excelled themselves. The trip brought the group closer together and showed that mutual support, shared experiences, learning and fun are just as important as learning in the classroom. It was a successful and great day for everyone involved.
The children were invited to the RWE vs. Dynamo Dresden match by Essener Chancen and watched the game together. In sunny spring weather, the group from the FTK Essen site attended the top third division match between Rot-Weiß Essen and Dynamo Dresden. The game was sold out and there was a very peaceful yet loud atmosphere in the stadium. Over bratwurst and drinks, the group got to see a 1:1, which was really exciting at the end. The pupils clearly had fun and cheered RWE on energetically. A successful Saturday afternoon for everyone involved!

News from the Flurstraße municipal elementary school
The new year started for the children of the Düsseldorf FtK location with a trip to the Fortuna Düsseldorf stadium. An exclusive stadium tour took place on January 29, the children had a lot of fun, were able to get a taste of the stadium and take a look behind the scenes. A great outing for young and old alike.
On December 16, a kids’ cooking course was held for the FtK kids on the school premises to round off the year. The instructor, Ms. van Leyen, showed the children simple and very tasty recipes during the cooking lessons and the children were allowed to get active themselves. At the end of the cooking course, the children ate together. It was a practical and creative change for the children just before the Christmas vacations.
On June 12, a reading took place at the Fortuna Düsseldorf stadium. The children were also able to meet project sponsor and former professional footballer Oliver Fink, ask him questions and even get his autograph. After a reading from “Football for everyone” by Knut Krüger and an exciting tour of the stadium, the children returned to school with many final impressions and Fortuna flags. A day that will certainly be remembered for a long time to come.
On January 17, the children were there live when Fortuna Düsseldorf and SV Darmstadt 98 met in the Merkur Spiel-Arena. It was an exciting match with many highlights, which ended 2:2. Pure emotion in the stands and on the pitch! It was an unforgettable experience for all soccer fans.

News from the 122nd elementary school "Am Palitzschhof"
At the beginning of February, the FtK children went to the museum. The program included a course on the topic of “water” in the glass laboratory of the German Hygiene Museum Dresden. Here, the children were able to get hands-on and try things out for themselves in the so-called glass laboratory. It was a great experience!
In October, the FtK group went to the Rundkino in Dresden for a trip to the movies. The children had decided on “Alles steht Kopf 2” together in advance. The film focused on dealing with one’s own feelings and the children were able to learn a lot about their own emotions and the question of what these emotions do to the body and how they can be dealt with. The children took part in this highlight with great enthusiasm.

Reading & stadium visit on June 20: We took the train to the SV Darmstadt 98 stadium. After an exciting stadium tour with lots of new impressions, the children were able to take part in a reading by ex-professional Felix Herzenbruch. They asked him curious and exciting questions. It was an all-round successful day full of soccer, insights and inspiration!
Stadium visit on 18.05.2025: At the weekend, the Bernhard Adelung School project went to the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor! Thanks to the support of Darmstadt 98, the children were able to experience a live home game together – and the kids clearly had a lot of fun. It was also the Lilies’ last home game.

At the end of November, the children of “Fußball trifft Kultur” experienced a great and special afternoon: the professional footballer from Eintracht Braunschweig 1895 Erencan Yardimci came by. The new summer signing from Brauchschweig answered the kids’ questions and played soccer with them. It was a great experience for everyone and the children’s faces were beaming.

News from the Werner-von-Siemens Hauptschule
On November 18, a speaker and media educator visited the Werner-von-Siemens School in Bochum and held a workshop for Year 5 children on how to use social media. The workshop consisted of a lecture part, in which the speaker talked about social networks and their dangers, and an interactive part, in which the children had to develop their own content on how to use social networks. At the end, the children were able to get creative themselves and design a network tailored to their favorite topics. The children had a lot of fun!
In March, ex-professional footballer Felix Herzenbruch came to the Werner-von-Siemens School and visited the “Fußball trifft Kultur” group. He read to the children from his book and gave them plenty of time to ask questions. The reading was full of highlights. “The fact that Felix won the DFB Cup against reigning champions Bayern Leverkusen really thrilled us all,” said one of the children after the reading.
