Essen: Essen North Comprehensive School
News from the comprehensive school Essen Nord
On December 12, it was time for the Essen group to get out of the classroom and onto the ice! Together with 17 pupils, three teachers and the FTK team from Essen, they went ice skating and were able to dedicate the whole day to the experience! The anticipation was huge. After two intensive hours on the ice, the enthusiasm was great! For the teachers, it was particularly nice to see how the pupils excelled themselves. The trip brought the group closer together and showed that mutual support, shared experiences, learning and fun are just as important as learning in the classroom. It was a successful and great day for everyone involved.
The children were invited to the RWE vs. Dynamo Dresden match by Essener Chancen and watched the game together. In sunny spring weather, the group from the FTK Essen site attended the top third division match between Rot-Weiß Essen and Dynamo Dresden. The game was sold out and there was a very peaceful yet loud atmosphere in the stadium. Over bratwurst and drinks, the group got to see a 1:1, which was really exciting at the end. The pupils clearly had fun and cheered RWE on energetically. A successful Saturday afternoon for everyone involved!
